Pope pleads for peace in the Holy Land

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL, May 11 (CNA) - "Even though the name Jerusalem means 'city of peace,' it is all too evident that, for decades, peace has tragically eluded the inhabitants of this holy land,” Pope Benedict said in Israel, as he called for “every possible avenue” to be pursued to find peace.
