Kenyan bishops encourage peace and justice as politicians trade blame

ELDORET, January 10 (CNA) - Following a meeting of the entire Kenya Episcopal Conference, John Cardinal Njue, the archbishop of Nairobi, and the 22 other bishops of Kenya, are urging peace and justice as a solution for the crisis caused by the recent violence.

Mediation is the best strategy, with only a few outsiders involved. I strongly feel that President Kufour of Ghana, and Cardinal Njue of kenya, can make forward progress. Infact, Kufour has called on Kofi Annan(former UN sec.) to get Kibaki & Odinga to go behind closed doors. They apparently will not disclose the essentials of the meeting. Furthermore, some type of shared-government may be the best strategy.
